The smoothie for reduced risk and treatment of Chocolate Cysts
Yield: 3 serving (about 8 ounce each)
1/2  cup lavender herbal tea
1/2 cup chamomile herbal tea
1/2 cup St. John's wort herbal tea
3/4 cup flax seed

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed.
3. Serve immediately

The finding of a natural source for reduced risk and treatment of pospartum depression  has encountered many obstacles, many ingredients showed initially the promising result in animal studies have not produced same potentials in either large sample size and mutli centers human trials.

Scientists in some well known institutions may have found the therapeutic and potential ingredients from natural sources(Green tea and grape) for reduced risk and treatment of pospartum depression.

Lavender is a flower plant of the genus Lavandula, belongings to the family Lamiaceae, native to Asia. The herb has been used in traditional medicine to treat painful bruises and aches, to relieve various neuralgic pains, sprains, rheumatism, etc.

Pospartum depression (postnatal depression), is a type of clinical depression, affecting women, after childbirth. Normally this of nervous tension occurs in women in the first new months of pregnancy, but in some women, it can last after child birth.

According to the joint study lead by the National Cheng Kung University, lavender tea relieved sleep quality, fatigue, and depression; and in improving maternal-infant attachment during the early postpartum period(1).
Dr. Keshavarz Afshar M. and the research team at the joint study lead by the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. suggested, use of Lavender essential oil as aromatherapy improved the quality of sleep in postpartum women(3).

Chamomile is also known as camomile, common name of many species daisy-like plants in the family Asteraceae. The herb has been used in traditional medicine as antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory constituents and to treat menstrual cramps and sleep disorders, reduce cramping and spastic pain in the bowels, relieve excessive gas and bloating in the intestine, etc.
According to the study of a total of 80 Taiwanese postnatal women with poor sleep quality (Postpartum Sleep) recruited from November 2012-August 2013, intake of chamomile tea, as a supplementary may be recommended to postpartum women for alleviating depression and sleep quality problems(2).

St John's wort, a yellow flower plant in the genus Hypericum belongings to the family Hypericaceae, native to the regions of North America, Europe, Turkey, Russia, India, China and Brazil, has been used for treatment of depression(5) over thousand of years.
According to the report by University of Vienna, St. John's wort may be effective for treatment of postnatal depression, but women who breastfeed, long-term studies of outcome in infants are needed(4).

Omega 3 fatty acids found abundantly in flax seed are associated with postpartum depression,, according to dr. Levant B, low tissue levels of Omega 3 fatty acods, particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), are reported in patients with either postpartum or nonpuerperal depression(6). In animal study, Omega 3 fatty acids, expressed its anti depressant-like and postpartum depression effects through decreased the biomarkers related to depression such as corticosterone and pro-inflammatory cytokines(7).
In support of above claim, the randomized dose-ranging pilot trial of omega-3 fatty acids for postpartum depression found that post treatment of Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HRSD) is much low than the pre treatment scale, after 8 weeks application of Omega 3 fatty acids(8).

The combination of smoothie with ingredients of  Lavender, Chamomile, St. John' Wort and Flax Seedmay hold a key in further studies in production of an effective natural ingredients for prevention and treatment of postpartum depression without induced adverse effects

Women who are at increased risk of postpartum depression due to family history,... should drink at least one cup daily. Women with postpartum depression should drink no more than 4 serving daily depending to the digestive toleration.

The smoothie for reduced risk and treatment of  influenza virus
Yield: 2 serving (about 8 ounce each)
1 1/2 cups grapes
1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams(2 tea bags) of green tea, a slice of ginger and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes, and set aside for cooling to room temperature)

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed.
3. Serve immediately

The finding of a natural source for reduced risk and treatment of  influenza virus  has encountered many obstacles, many ingredients showed initially the promising result in animal studies have not produced same potentials in either large sample size and mutli centers human trials.

Scientists in some well known institutions may have found the therapeutic and potential ingredients from natural sources(Green tea and grape) for reduced risk and treatment of influenza.

Green tea has been a precious drink in traditional Chinese culture and used exceptional in socialization for more than 4000 thousand years. Because of their health benefits, they have been cultivated for commercial purposes all over the world. In animal model, polyphenolic compounds present in green tea, particularly catechins, are well known to process a strong anti-influenza activity in in a dose-dependent effect, especially in the early phase of lungs infection(1).
According to the Yonsei University, Catechin derivatives found in green tea also exhibited a broad spectrum activity against various subtypes of influenza viruses, through its antioxidant effect in inhibition of circulating human influenza viruses (A/H1N1, A/H3N2 and B type), H2N2 and H9N2 avian influenza virus, the viruses on red blood cell (RBC)(2).
Dr. Song JM and colleagues at the Yonsei University, polyphenolic compound catechins ((-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECG) and (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC)) all showed to exhibited antiviral effect on influenza virus through  altering the physical properties of viral membrane(3).

Grape is a woody vines of the genus Vitis, belong to the family Vitaceae, native to southern Turkey.
Its antioxidant, resveratrol  has shown to process strong anti influenza virus, including, inhibitory effect on the NA activity of the influenza virus strain A/PR/8/34 (H1N1)(4)(5), epidemiological studies suggest.
Resveratrol (RV) in the Univ. of Rome Sapienza study also exhibits anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative properties against a wide variety of viruses including members of the Herpesviridae family, retroviruses, influenza A virus and polyomavirus by altering certain cellular pathways(6).

Dr. Thapa M and colleagues at the Kansas State University said, " polyphenols, such as resveratrol and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), showed significant anti-influenza activity in vitro and/or in vivo", especially against influenza virus (porcine H1N1 strain)(7).

Taking altogether people who are at increased risk of  influenza  due to weaken immunity and aging  .....should drink at least one serving daily and people with  influenza  should drink the smoothie at 4 serving a day, depending to digestive toleration.

Respiratory Disease is defined as medical conditions which affect the breathing organ and tissues including Inflammatory lung disease, Obstructive lung diseases, Restrictive lung diseases, Respiratory tract infections, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli, the nerves and muscles breathing , etc,.

                                              Bronchiectasis

Bronchiectasis is defined as a condition chracterized by the damage of the localized, irreversible dilation of part of the bronchial tree and the walls of the large airways of the lung as a result of the destruction of the lung muscles and elastic tissues. Bronchiectasis can be present alone, but in most cases, it is a disease coexisted with patient of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

                                               The Diagnosis

If you are experience the above symptoms, you doctor may suspect that you have developed broncholithiasis. After recording your family history and completing the physical exam, the test which your doctor orders include
1. Blood test
The aim of the blood test is to check for underline causes of broncholithiasis as well as any infection of
the lungs or breathing passages.
2. A sputum culture
A sputum culture is to identify bacteria or fungi that infect the lungs or breathing passages.
3. Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is considered the most important diagnostic test for broncholithiasis. In retrospective review of the clinical data of patients with broncholithiasis who also underwent bronchoscopy at Mayo Clinic, Forty-eight percent (23 of 48) of the partly eroding broncholiths were successfully removed bronchoscopically, with a greater percentage removed with the rigid bronchoscope (67%) than with the flexible bronchoscope (30%). All free broncholiths were completely extracted regardless of the type of bronchoscope used. Complications occurred in only two patients (4% of the bronchoscopic broncholithectomy group), both with partially eroded broncholiths, and consisted of hemorrhage in one patient requiring thoracotomy and acute dyspnea in another patient, caused by a loose broncholith lodged in the trachea. We conclude that flexible and/or rigid bronchoscopic extraction of partly eroded or free broncholiths in the tracheobronchial tree can be considered safe and effective(33).
4. Chest CT scan
CT can suggest the diagnosis of broncholithiasis and is useful when bronchoscopy does not show a broncholith, according to the study byBroncholithiasis: CT features in 15 patients(34).
5. Chest X ray
The aim of the test is to observe any abnormality in the lung causes of broncholithiasis.
6. High resolution computed tomography (HRCT), laminograms and Friberoptic bronchoscopy ( FOB )
According to the study to evaluate high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) in the diagnosis of broncholithiasis, researchers at the Service central de Radiologie et Imagerie Médicale, indicated that
in 9 cases, chest X rays were abnormal but the diagnosis of broncholithiasis can’t never be affirmed. In 9 cases, FOB was abnormal: broncholith were identified in only 2 cases; the other diagnosis were tumor like stenosis (n = 3), inflammatory stenosis (n = 3), extrinsic compression (n = 1). On conventional CT scan, broncholithiasis was suspected in 8 patients but because of volume averaging the relationship between calcified lymph nodes and bronchial tree was difficult to determine exactly. Only HRCT sections, sometimes tilted in the axis of the middle lobar bronchus, can affirm the endobronchial or peribronchial location of calcified lymph nodes in all patients(35).
In other study to assess the validity and reliability of the Korean version of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test (CAT) and Dyspnea-12 Questionnaire for patients with bronchiectasis or tuberculous destroyed lung, showed that Korean version of CAT and Dyspnea-12 are valid and reliable in patients with tuberculous destroyed lung and bronchiectasis(36).
Another study indicated that in 8 of the 19 patients, laminograms or chest CT scans helped establish the diagnosis; FOB was performed on 18 patients and was abnormal in each case, with 8 intrabronchial calcifications identified. However, fiberoptic bronchoscopy ( FOB ) has limited therapeutic indications in this disorder(37).

The smoothie for reduced risk and treatment of pelvic inflammation disease
Yield: 2 serving (about 8 ounce each)
1 cup grape
1/4 cup avocado

1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams of green tea, a slice of ginger and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes, and let cool to room temperature)

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed. Add more green tea drink if needed
3. Serve immediately

The finding the natural ingredients for treatment of pelvic inflammation disease  is considered as a dream of many scientist to replace the long term usage adverse effect of conventional medicine.
Unfortunately, many compounds found effective in initial studying failed to confirm the potential in  large sample size and multi center.

Pelvic inflammation disease (PID) is defined as condition caused by inflammation or infection of the female uterus, fallopian tubes, and/or ovaries as a result of scars and adhesion in the pelvic which in turn may prevent the implantation of egg during natural pregnancy process. It affects over 1 million women in U.S. every month and most of them are in their teen and twenties and over 100,000 women become infertile in the US alone each year.
Recent studies reported by some well known institution, green tea, may process the anti inflammatory diseases, including inhibition of pelvic inflammation disease (PID), as pelvic inflammatory disease is
associated to increased expressions of Th1 cytokine IFN-gamma, and Th2 cytokine IL-5, related to pro inflammatory pathways(2).

Recent studies back by renowned institution suggested, Green tea(1) and carrot, tomato(4) may have a potential and therapeutic value for reduced risk and treatment of cervical cancer probably due to theirs' phytochemicals effect in ameliorated proliferation of cancer cell expression, recent studies suggested. According to The Catholic University of Korea, epigallocatechin-3-gallate attenuated the chronic inflammatory activities through educed the level of IFN-γ-induced priming signal in immune regulation via the down-regulation of pro-IL-1β and pro-capspase-1 in HEKn cell of proinflammatory cytokines(1).
Dr. and the colleagues at the Medical College of Ohio Ruppert proposed, theaflavins, amajor green constituent exhibited antioxidant, antineoplastic and antiinflammatory properties, including induction of IFNgamma mRNA of NF-kappaB for gene expression of pro - inflammatory pathway(3).Dr. Chen X, and professors Li W and Wang H.at the New York University School of Medicine, suggested that Green tea reduced endotoxin-induced release of (e.g., TNF, IL-1, and IFN-gamma) and (e.g., HMGB1) pro-inflammatory cytokines(4).

Avocado, a green-skinned, pear-shaped fruit that ripens after harvesting and native to the Caribbean, Mexico, South America and Central America, belonging to the flowering plant family Lauraceae, is a commercially valuable fruit and cultivated in tropical climates throughout the world.

Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) found abundantly in avocado may possess the most potent immunomodulatory activities, and among the omega-3 PUFA in reduced risk and treatment of inflammatory and auto immune diseases caused by the increased level of interleukin 1 (IL-1), a proinflammatory cytokine(5).
Dr. Calder PC. said, "n-3 PUFA can down regulate the activity of the nuclear transcription factor NFB" and "suppressed production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and can decrease adhesion molecule expression"(6).
According to Dr. Gouveia TL and research, omega 3 fatty acids plays an important role in activation of the immune system in the central nervous system in response to the release of pro inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α(7) of which related to the occurance of pelvic inflammatory disease(2).

Resveratrol is a phytochemical in the class of Stilbenoids, found abundantly in skins and seed of grape may also expressed the inhibition of cytokines involved the progression of pelvic inflammation disease (PID), according to Dr. Inoue H and Dr. Nakata R. said, "Resveratrol is as a phytoalexin, cyclooxygenase (COX) suppressor, and an activator of peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor (PPAR) and SIRT1."(8).
According to the, resveratrol intake ameliorated, in a dose-dependent manner, pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA expression and promote the release of anti-inflammatory interleukin (IL)-10(9). of that related to reduced risk and treatment of inflammatory diseases.
In fact the effectiveness of resveratrol in reduced risk and treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases may be due to promotion of anti inflammatory and reduction of pro inflammatory properties(10).

The combination of Green Tea, Grape and Avocado smoothie may hold a key in further studies in production of an effective natural ingredients for prevention and treatment of  Pelvic inflammation disease (PID) without inducing adverse effects.

Women who are at increased risk of Pelvic inflammation disease (PID), due to family history,... should drink at least one cup daily. Women with Pelvic inflammation disease (PID) should drink as much as they can depending to the digestive toleration.

The smoothie for people with high risk of Anemia and Anemia
Yield: 2 serving (about 8 ounce each)
1 1/2 cups papaya
1 cup of rice milk

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed. Add more green tea drink if needed
3. Serve immediately

The finding the natural ingredients for treatment of anemia is considered as a dream of many scientist to replace the long usage adverse effect of conventional medicine to other organs in the body. Unfortunately, many compounds found effective in initial studying failed to confirm the potential in large sample size and multi center.

Most people understand that anemia is caused by iron deficiency in the bloodstream, but in reality anemia is characterized by deficiency in the hemoglobin of the red blood cells diminishing the ability of the blood to transport oxygen to our cells and to remove carbon dioxide.

Antioxidant plays an important role in the influences of the pharmacologic induction of fetal hemoglobin (HbF) for treatment of β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease through expression in the fetal liver, spleen and bone marrow(1).

Recent studies suggested that chronic consumption of the combination of papaya(2) may be beneficiary to reduce symptoms and treatment  for patients with anemia such as β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease.

Papaya is a species of Carica Papaya, belongs to the family Caricaceae and native to the tropics of the Americas, and was first cultivated in Mexico and several centuries. Vitamin C found abundantly in papaya out of all fruits, according to the Chinese Academy of Medical Science, improved the levels of hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers (HBOCs) through the indication of the oxygen binding curves and the molecular weights(2).
In patients with sickle cell hemoglobin from both parents and are associated with unusually large numbers of immature blood cells, C. papaya seed oil significantly increased HbSSM and HbSSF human sickle cell blood peroxidase activity and hemoglobin concentration significantly, through exhibited particular antisickling properties and reduced oxidative stress in sickle cell patient(3).

In patients with beta-thalassemia major and intermedia and E-beta-thalassemia due to defects and mutations in the beta-globin gene, fermented papaya preparation (FPP) improve the status of anemia through increased the content of reduced glutathione (GSH) in red blood cells (RBC), and decreased free radicals generation, membrane lipid peroxidation, and externalization of phosphatidylserine (PS) in beta-thal, major and intermedia, (in Israel) and E-beta-thal patients(4).
Dr. Olalla-Saad ST said, "... reduction of oxidative status in red blood cells of patients with β- and E-β-thalassemia (β-thal) treated with fermented papaya preparation"(5) of that reducing the severity of the symptoms of anemia(6).

In fact, on sickle cell trait (HbAS) and sickle cell disease (HbSS) blood samples, long term consumption of tropical fruit extract, Carica papaya produced significant less numbers of sickle cells, the Covenant University study suggested(7).

People who are at increased risk of anemia (β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease) due to family history, genetic mutation .....should drink at least 2 serving daily and people with chronic anemia (β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease) should drink the juices as much as they can, depending to digestive toleration.
Change of life style and diet pattern are also recommended.

4. Endobronchial nocardiosis
There is a report of a case of endobronchial nocardiosis associated with the presence of a broncholith(31).

5. Pneumonia
There is a report of a 56-year-old woman visited our hospital in 2003 and right upper lobe pneumonia was detected with a calcified nodule that completely obstructed the right upper lobe bronchus on CT. After admission, she spontaneously expectorated a stone. The composition of the stone was 57% calcium phosphate and 43% calcium carbonate. Radiological findings and the composition of the stone suggested that this broncholith was calcified bronchial mucus rather than a calcified lymph node that might have perforated into the airway. Bronchiectasis of the right B3 broncus was observed on CT scan after lithoptysis. Although the bronchiectasis was unchanged 2 years later, she had no symptoms, such as fever or cough(32).

3. Serve immediately

The finding the natural ingredients for treatment of autism is considered as a dream of many scientist to replace the long usage adverse effect of conventional medicine to other organs in the body. Unfortunately, many compounds found effective in initial studying failed to confirm the potential in large sample size and multi center.

the combination of Green Tea(3), Almond(4) and Camel Milk(7) may be a protential formula for reduced severity of symptoms and treatment of autism, recent studies found

Autism is one most common form of brain development disorder in children. According to statistic one in 166 child is diagnosed with some forms of autism. Children who are diagnosed with autism tend to have weak immune system and auto immune problems. Autism is defined as medical condition in which a child has some of the following impairments(1)
a) Speech
b) Social and communication skills
c) Limited interest
d) Repetitive behaviour
According to the joint study lead by the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Very preterm (VP) children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have different brain structure in the neonatal period compared with those who do not have ASD(2).

Green tea has been a precious drink in traditional Chinese culture and used exceptional in socialization for more than 4000 thousand years. Because of their health benefits, they have been cultivated for commercial purposes all over the world.

According Dr. Banji D and colleagues, in mice with in neurobehavioral aberrations, oral administration of green tea induced neuronal protection against the impact of toxicants, and improved motor co-ordination, nociceptive response, locomotion, anxiety, exploratory activity and cognition on various postnatal days through its neuronal cytoprotective against symptoms of autism(3).

Almond consists of an outer hull and a hard shell with the seed (nut) inside is native to the Middle East. It is most widely cultivated seed in the world for it economic and health benefit.
Omega-3 fatty acids, an unsaturated fatty acids, with three double bonds at particular positions in the hydrocarbon chain, found abundantly in almond, in an open-label pilot study of 10 children aged 4-7 years old with ASD improved 8 showed about 33% on the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) of 8 children(4).
In a total of 41 children and adolescents aged 7-18 years (36 boys, 5 girls; mean age = 11.66, s.d. = 3.05) diagnosed with ASD, the use of omega-3 fatty acids supplementation showed a significant improvements on all subscales of the Social Responsiveness Scale (P < 0.01) and the Social and Attention Problems syndrome scales of the Child Behavior Checklist (P < 0.05) with Blood fatty acid levels were significantly correlated with changes in the core symptoms of ASD, according to the study lead by the University of Basel(5).
In support of the above conclusion, The joint study lead by the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, suggested that abnormal lipid metabolism is implicated in autism(6).

Camel milk, may also be another ingredient for treatment of autism, as it reduced the oxidative stress in several neurological diseases, including autismspectrum disorder (ASD), through improvment of levels of antioxidant and autistic behaviour as demonstrated on Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS)(7).
Dr. Al-Ayadhi LY and researchers at the King Saud University also insisted that camel milk improve behavioral characteristic in 65 (boys=60, girls=5) children with autism (aged from 2 to 12 years) after after the 2 weeks of therapy(8).
Dr. Adams CM, the researcher of Author/professional writer, Laguna Beach said," Beginning at age 9, he drank one half cup of raw camel milk a day and experienced overnight an improvement in his symptoms. His continued regular consumption of camel milk was associated with sustained symptom improvements for 6 consecutive years (2007-2013)." in a report of his son, who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at 3 years of age(9).

Taking all together, intake of the smoothie with green tea, almond and camel milk is found to reduce the severity of  symptoms and enhance treatment of Autism,  adult with autism should drink as much as possible depending to the digestive toleration.

Please note: for children with autism, the volume of green tea should be replaced by the same volume of camel milk.
