Ingredients
1. Fischeriana A,B
2. Euphol
3. Saponins
4. Glycosides
5. Sterol
6. Tannins
7. Etc.

Health Benefits
1. Anti tumor activity
In the investigation of The daphnane-type diterpene gnidimacrin, isolated from the root of the Chinese plant, Stellera chamaejasme L., showed significant antitumor activity against murine leukemias and solid tumors in an in vivo system. In K562, a sensitive human leukemia cell line, gnidimacrin induced blebbing of the cell surface, which was completely inhibited by staurosporine at concentrations above 10(-8) M, and arrested the cell cycle transiently to G2 and finally the G1 phase at growth-inhibitory concentrations(1).

2. Aphis craccivora and Pieris rapae
In the study of the root powder of Stellera chamaejasme extracted with chloroform to obtain chromatographed several times with silica gel columns and finally one pure natural product found that it had good insecticidal activity against Aphis craccivora and Pieris rapae. Its median lethal concentrations (LC50) (24 h after treatment) were 14.81 and 47.68 mg L(-1), respectively. This is the first time that the insecticidal activity of thymol against A. craccivora and P. rapae(2).

3. Prostate cancer
In the evaluation of Neochamaejasmin A ( 1), a biflavonoid isolated from the roots of a traditional Chinese medicine, Stellera chamaejasme L. for it anti prostate caner effects, found that Treatment of LNCaP cells with low doses of 1 (< or =6.25 microg/mL) suppressed DNA-binding activities of the transcription factors NFkappaB and AP-1 to the promoter of cyclin D and also inhibited expression of the cell cycle regulatory proteins cyclin D, proliferating cell nuclear antigen, and nucleolin, thus arresting cells in G 1 phase of the cell cycle. A lengthy exposure with higher doses of 1 (> or =12.5 microg/mL) revealed the production of reactive oxygen species, dissipation of the mitochondrial membrane potential, up-regulation of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21, and induction of cell apoptosis(3).

4. Free radical scavenging activities
In examination of the free radical scavenging action of some medicinal herbs growing in Mongolia. The aqueous extract of nine herbs Chamenerion angustifolium (Ch.ang), Equisetum arvense (Eq.arv), Gentiana decumbens (Gn.dec), Geranium pratense (Gr.pra), Lomatogonium carinthiacum (L.car), Nonea poulla (N.pl), Phodococcum vitis-idaea (Ph.v), Sphallerocarpus gracilis (Sph.gr), Stellera chamaejasme (St.cha), showed that extracts of Ch.ang, Gn.dec, Gr.pra, L.car, N.pl, Ph.v, Sph.gr and St. cha possess strong scavenging action of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, superoxide and hydroxyl radicals. On the other hand, the radical scavenging action of Eq.arv was low. Extracts of N.pl and Ph.v markedly inhibited the CL generated from rat liver microsomal cytochrome P450 system whereas the CL was moderately inhibited by Eq.arv, Gn.dec, Gr.pra, L.car and St.cha(4).

4. Anti- leukemia
In the observation of Gnidimacrin, a diterpene compound, isolated from the methanol extract of Stellera chamaejasme L, indicated that a significant antitumor activities against mouse leukemia P-388 and L-1210 in vivo. At the dosages of 0.02-0.03mg/kg ip, the in increase in life span (ILS) was 70% and 80%, respectively. Gnidimacrin was also active against murine solid tumors in vivo, such as Lewis lung carcinoma, B-16 melanoma and colon cancer 26. It showed ILSs of 40%, 49% and 41% at the dosages of 0.01-0.02mg/kg ip, respectively. Gnidimacrin strongly inhibited cell proliferation of human cancer cell lines such as leukemia K562, stomach cancers Kato-III, MKN-28, MKN-45, and mouse L-1210 by the MTT assay and colony forming assay in vitro(5).

Obesity is a medical condition of excess body fat accumulated overtime, while overweight is a condition of excess body weight relatively to the height. According to the Body Mass Index(BMI), a BMI between 25 to 29.9 is considered over weight, while a BMI of over 30 is an indication of obesity. According to the statistic, 68% of American population are either overweight or obese.

You can calculate your BMI index BMI= weight (kg)/ height (m2)

The Studies of  Walking to health

"Walking is convenient and may be accommodated in occupational and domestic routines. It is self-regulated in intensity, duration and frequency, and, having a low ground impact, is inherently safe. Unlike so much physical activity, there is little, if any, decline in middle age. It is a year-round, readily repeatable, self-reinforcing, habit-forming activity and the main option for increasing physical activity in sedentary populations. Present levels of walking are often low. Familiar social inequalities may be evident. There are indications of a serious decline of walking in children, though further surveys of their activity, fitness and health are required. The downside relates to the incidence of fatal and non-fatal road casualties, especially among children and old people, and the deteriorating air quality due to traffic fumes which mounting evidence implicates in the several stages of respiratory disease. Walking is ideal as a gentle start-up for the sedentary, including the inactive, immobile elderly, bringing a bonus of independence and social well-being. As general policy, a gradual progression is indicated from slow, to regular pace and on to 30 minutes or more of brisk (i.e. 6.4 km/h) walking on most days. These levels should achieve the major gains of activity and health-related fitness without adverse effects. Alternatively, such targets as this can be suggested for personal motivation, clinical practice, and public health. The average middle-aged person should be able to walk 1.6 km comfortably on the level at 6.4 km/h and on a slope of 1 in 20 at 4.8 km/h, however, many cannot do so because of inactivity-induced unfitness. The physiological threshold of 'comfort' represents 70% of maximum heart rate", according to the study of Dr. Morris JN and Dr.Hardman AE. at the Health Promotion Sciences Unit, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, England(1).

                                 Dietary Minerals

Dietary Minerals are the group of minerals which is essential for our body to sustain normal functions and physical health.

                                      Potassium

In General, potassium is a very essential mineral to the human body for maintaining to build proteins and muscle, break down carbohydrates, maintain normal body growth and normal heart electricity, etc.

                                        The Effect on Diabetic Nephropathy

The Normal serum potassium is 3.5 to 5.5 mEq/L. The total body potassium is lower in females and in older patients, serum potassium concentration is independent of sex and age.
Diabetic Nephropathy is a progressive kidney disease caused by disease of the blood vessels in the kidney glomeruli in diabetics.

The benefits
Angiotensin, a peptide hormone with function to cause vasoconstriction and a subsequent increase in blood pressure. Its inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers such as lisinopril (80 mg) were randomized to spironolactone (25 mg daily), losartan (100 mg daily) prescibed in conventional medicine for treating diabetic nephropathy may be distribute more safe depending to the levels of serum potassium after intake of the medicine. In a blinded, randomized, three-arm placebo-controlled clinical trial, 80 participants with diabetic nephropathy taking lisinopril (80 mg) were randomized to spironolactone (25 mg daily), losartan (100 mg daily), or placebo (trial dates from July of 2003 to December of 2006), researcher suggested that a better understanding of extrarenal potassium homeostasis will provide an opportunity to use this drug more safely in patients with diabetic nephropathy as well as other patient populations.

                         Thyroid disease

Thyroid disease is defined as a condition of malfunction of thyroid. Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is over active and produces too much thyroid hormones.

                         Acute thyroiditis

Acute thyroiditis is defined as a condition of as a result of relatively high amount of iodine in the tissue causes of microbial inflammatory thyroiditis, pyrogenic thyroiditis and bacterial thyroiditis. Acute infectious thyroiditis is very rare, accounting for about 0.1-0.7% of all thyroiditis.

                             The Complications

According to the study by the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Acute suppurative thyroiditis is a rare disorder, most often caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pneumoniae, which affects particularly children with pyriform sinus fistula. In adults, the main complicationsare the infection in the oropharynx or respiratory tract. The initial signs and symptoms of acute thyroiditis are similar to those of acute pharyngitis and subacute thyroiditis. This fact often delays diagnosis and increases the risk of complications. There is a report of a case of a previously healthy, 28-year-old man who, after being affected by tonsillitis, developed suppurative thyroiditis complicated by thyrotoxicosis; a large abscess in the right lobe of the thyroid extending to the thorax introitus, which caused a trachea deviation and compressed large vessels; associated with internal jugular vein thrombosis, and sepsis(21). Other indicated that although sacroileitis is a frequent complication of brucellosis, endocarditis, thyroiditis and pyelonephritis are among the rare complications(21a).
