3/4 cup grape
1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams of green tea and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes, and let cool to room temperature)

These results suggest that melatonin suppresses acrolein-induced IL-8 production via ERK1/2 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt signal inhibition in HPFs(3).

In the study of the effects of grape skin in the pathogenesis and progression of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), showed that alteration of the oxidant-antioxidant balance is important in the pathogenesis of CS-induced ALI and suggests lung protective effects of GSE treatment in the mouse(4).

1. Thickening of airway wall

Similarities between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and altitude exposure point to the importance of hypoxia in this regard(24).
4. Infection

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a common consequence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). There is a report of four patients with COPD and PH. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) associated diseases and pulmonary embolism were ruled out. PH persisted despite optimized treatment of underlying COPD and comorbidities(26).
6. Depression
In the study to evaluate the subjective assessment of sleep quality in stable COPD patients and its relationship with associated depression, found that the prevalence of poor sleep quality among COPD patients is high. Irrespective of severity of airflow obstruction, the presence of depression in COPD is a risk factor for poor sleep quality(27).
7. Heart diseases
In the study to explore the association of COPD and restrictive lung function impairment, respectively, with heart diseases in the general population, found that a strong association between COPD and cardiovascular diseases and indicates a strong association between restrictive lung function and heart diseases. Both obstructive and restrictive lung function impairments were common among subjects with heart diseases and vice versa(28).

In the study of data measured change in six minute walk distance in the 12 month period before the event and also related change in six minute walk distance to lung function and St Georges Respiratory Questionnaire (health status), found that a fall in the six minute walk distance of 30m or more is associated with increased risk of death but not hospitalization due to exacerbation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and represents a clinically significant minimally important difference(29).

In some cases, but rarely, Emphysema is caused by Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency emphysema.

Chronic bronchitis is a chronic inflammation of the lung’s bronchi cause of the increased production of mucus in the lung of that leading to difficult breathing.

1. Spirometry
Spirometryis one of the best test for patient who is suspected to have developed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In this test, you are asked to breath into a instrument connected to a spirometer for the evaluation of the function of your lung including the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. In the study Of the 12,491 patients with a primary or secondary COPD diagnosis between 1994 and 2006, with 1520 continuously enrolled patients, showed that among the 648 eligible records from patients with evidence of a pulmonary function test, 366 were identified by spirometry as having COPD of GOLD stage I or higher (average percentage of predicted forced expiratory volume in 1 second: 60%): 19% were diagnosed at the stage of mild disease (GOLD stage I); 50% at moderate disease (GOLD stage II); and 31% at severe or very severe disease (GOLD stage III or IV, respectively). The majority of patients in these groups were not receiving maintenance treatment(17).
2. Stethoscope

In the study to to explore whether the rate of lung function decline differs between COPD patients with and without exertional desaturation, researchers found that for the first time, that exertional desaturation may be a predictor of rapid decline in lung function in patients with COPD. The 6MWT may be a useful test to predict a rapid lung function decline in COPD(20).
