Celery and Celery Seeds in Suppression of Arthritis

Celery may be used as natural food therapy in suppressed Arthritis Diseases in the induction of acute and chronic painful or inflammatory symptoms, some scientists suggested.

Arthritis is a class of over 100 medical conditions, affecting people of all ages, sexes, and races.

In an aging population, the most common cause of arthritis is the degeneration of cartilage, the slick, cushioning surface on the ends of bones that has bee worn away, causing bone rubs against bone, in the induction of pain, swelling, and stiffness.

Depending to the severity of osteoarthritis, patients may experience symptoms that surround the joints in hands, knees, hips, and spine, such as pain in the joint during or after movement, muscle and feet tenderness, stiffness, loss of flexibility. ... and grating sensation.

The other most common types of arthritis are Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) that is a long-term autoimmune disorder, inducing warm, swollen, and painful joints.

According to statistic, approximately, 50 million adults and 300,000 children have some forms or types of arthritis.

The CDC statistic from 2013–2015, stated that an estimated 54.4 million US adults (22.7%) annually have ever been told by a doctor that they have some form of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, or fibromyalgia(4).

The prevalent risk factor is also depended to where you live. For example, the percentage of adults with arthritis varies by state, ranging from 17.2% in Hawaii to 33.6% in West Virginia in 2015(4).r

The John Hopkins arthritis center suggested, " Data from 32,322 adults in 11 states from the 1998 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey (BRFSS), a health survey given annually in the United States, indicates that adults with arthritis report significantly greater HRQL impairment compared to adults without arthritis"(5).

Celery is a species of Apium graveolens, belongings to the family Apiaceae. The food or vegetable is cultivated all around the globe for commercial profits.

Celery can grow to 1/2 m tall with stalks (leaf on the top) arranging in a conical shape joined at a common base.

According to a recent study, celery seed extract (CSE) processed a strong effect in suppressing arthritis symptoms in a model of polyarthritis without interaction to medication intake. in comparison to aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen

Dr. Powanda MC, the lead researcher said, " unlike many dietary supplements, the available data suggest that CSE does not significantly affect the p450 enzyme systems( function in interaction with medication intake) and thus is less likely to alter the metabolism of drugs the individual may be taking"

The over-counter (OTC) oral remedies for arthritis and rheumatism classified celery seed extracts are more effective than ibuprofen in the anti-arthritic assay without causing gastric bleeding.

However, treatment of arthritis is ranged from almost zero to highly effective depending on a certain class of products.

Therefore, for maximum effect, types of celery seed extract (CSE) chosen should only be prescribed by related field specialist.

In support of the above differentiation, the Prince of Songkla University conducted an experimenter by applying A. graveolens (AGE), a bioactive compound isolated from celery seed against liver oxidative stress in adjuvant-induced arthritis rat model.

The results showed that oral administration of AGE (250, 500, and 1,000 mg/kg) for 24 consecutive days reduced symptoms of arthritis through reduced liver oxidative stress and enhanced liver antioxidant properties including host antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and superoxide dismutase (SOD).

Taking all together, intake of celery may be effective in ameliorated symptoms of arthritis through binding to the expression of proinflammatory cytokines.

However, further data collection on large sample size and multi-center clinical studies performed with human consumption during the course of the investigation will be necessary to complete the picture of celery and its bioactive compounds protective effect against arthritis possibilities.

The Herbal Extract That Kills Gastric/Stomach Cancer Cells in Vitro, Scientists Find

Scientists may have found a chemical constituent isolated from Andrographis paniculata, with potential in reducing risk and treatment of gastric cancer, a respectable institute study suggested.

Gastric/Stomach cancer is a condition of abnormal growth of the mucus-producing cells of the inside lining of the stomach.

Adenocarcinoma is the most common type of gastric cancer.

The causes of gastric cancer are debatable, but some researchers suggested that people with chronic
gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD), a condition caused by the frequent backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus, is the most likely to develop the disease(4).

Other diseases associated with the early onset of gastric cancer are obesity and smoking(4).

According to the Universidad de Salamanca, bacteria and virus, including Helicobacter pylori are strongly associated with chronic gastritis, clinical syndromes, precancerous lesions, and pathogenesis of gastric cancer development(5).

If you experience some of the symptoms such as feeling bloated after eating, feeling full after only eating small amounts of food, persistent heartburn, and severe indigestion, stomach pain,.... and persistent vomiting, please check with your doctor right the way for the arrangement of a diagnosis(4).

The picture captured during the exam may sometimes be misdiagnosis as an ulcer, a mushroom-shaped or linitis plastica.

If the suspicious area is found, endoscopic ultrasound may be necessary to rule out the cancer onset possibility.

Most importantly, in compared to antioxidant effects in a patient with H. pylori gastritis and gastric cancer, researchers found that concentration of serum superoxide dismutase and serum malondialdehyde that exhibiting oxidative stress caused by overexpression of free radicals are significantly higher and plasma ascorbic acid, the antioxidants are significantly lower in gastric cancer patients.

These results suggested gastric cancer is also associated to the imbalance of ratio of antioxidants produced by the host enzymes and free radical accumulation, leading to elevated ROS that causes oxidative stress in alternated DNA of gastric cells through cytotoxicity.

According to the Canadian cancer society, in 2017(6), an estimated:
* 3,500 Canadians were diagnosed with stomach cancer.

* 2,100 Canadians died from stomach cancer.

* 2,200 men were diagnosed with stomach cancer and 1,250 died from it.

* 1,300 women were diagnosed with stomach cancer and 790 died from it.

Andrographis paniculata is also known as Andrographis is a herbaceous plant, genus Andrographis, belonging to the family Acanthaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka.

The herb has been used in traditional Siddha and Ayurvedic for treatment of common cold, flu, upper respiratory infections, infectious diseases, diarrhea, dysentery, cholera, pneumonia,...

According to the joint study lead by the Chosun University, Andrographolide, a natural compound isolated from Andrographis paniculata, exerted a potentiated apoptosis and reduction of the ability of a cell to form clones triggered by recombinant human tumor necrosis factor of signaling systemic inflammation involved immune stimulation.

The study also found that Andrographolide enhances TRAIL(a protein functioning as a ligand in regulated the process of cell death)-induced apoptosis through interfering cell division via a protein functioning involved the process of cell death and ROS generation in gastric cancer.

Dr. Lim SC, the lead author said, "Exposure of GC cells to andrographolide altered the expression level of several growth-inhibiting and apoptosis-regulating proteins, including death receptors".

In three gastric cancer cell lines (SGC7901, MGC803, BGC823), with Application of Andrographis significantly decreased gastric cancer cells adherence to stimulated endothelial cells by inhibited the E-selectin expression that activated cytokines of the immune system.

Taking all together, Andrographis paniculata with high levels of Andrographolide may be used as a therapeutically promising product in reducing risk and treatment of gastric cancer.

However, further data collection on large sample size and multi-center clinical studies performed with human consumption during the course of the investigation will be necessary to complete the picture of Andrographis and its bioactive compounds protective effect against gastric cancer possibilities.

Intake of Andrographis paniculata supplement should be taken with exceptional care as overdoses may cause acute liver toxicity.

Fennel, The Herb or Food Better Than Ibuprofen in Stopped Primary Painful Period

Adding a portion of fennel in daily diet may have a potential and positive effect in reduced pain caused by sensory neurons stimulus in women with primary dysmenorrhea, some scientists suggested.

The results of the investigation were carried out by numbers of respectable institutes, including the Babol University of Medical Sciences and Health Services and details of the experiment were published on the online medical library.

Antinociceptive activity is an action or process of blocking the painful injurious stimulus by sensory neurons.

Dysmenorrhea is also known as a painful period, a menstrual cramp in the regions of the pelvis or lower abdomen that last a few days during menstruation, caused by overproduction of certain hormones in the family of prostaglandins.

Some women may experience periodic pains during or prior to, or after menstrual periods in the lower abdomen. In some cases, the pain can also spread over to the whole abdomen and lumbosacral region.

There are 2 Types of dysmenorrhea
* Primary dysmenorrhea
Primary dysmenorrhea affects about 90% in the girls in the first 2 years of menstruation. Some researchers suggested that it may be caused by immature of the reproductive organs.

* Secondary dysmenorrhea
Secondary dysmenorrhea is caused by gynecological diseases. including hormone imbalance, endometriosis, fibromas, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.

Accompanied to the painful period, women may also experience to psychological symptoms such as anxiety, depression, irritability, digestive symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and physical symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and painful breasts.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a plant species of genus, belongings to Apiaceae (Umbelliferae), native to the Mediterranean, used in traditional and herbal medicine as warming, carminative, antispasmodic, antidepressant agent and to stimulate the appetite, ease indigestion, soothe coughing, reduce intestinal spasms, to regulate the menstrual cycle and relieve PMS,...

In order to compare the effect of combination of fennel extract/vitamin E with ibuprofen on the intensity of pain in primary dysmenorrhea among the students of Tabriz city in 2007-2009, researchers od the joint study lead by the Kosar Department of Shahid Motahhary Hospital carried out an investigation of 68 students from Medical and Tabriz universities, who were living in the dormitory, suffering from primary dysmenorrhea.

All participants were randomly divided into two groups of 34 students each (the two groups used combination of fennel extract/vitamin E and ibuprofen cross-over form in the 2 months).

Application of the combination displayed a mean of peak pain intensity in the first, second, third, sixth, and forty-eighth hours that is significantly lower than the ibuprofen group.

Also, a combination of fennel extract/vitamin E was more effective than ibuprofen in the first hour (P < 0.03) and second hour (P < 0.04), according to the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) tool for ranking the intensity of the pain.

These result suggested that fennel and vitamin E combination was more efficacy in blocking the neuron in transmitting pain caused by overexpression prostaglandins hormone in the induction of abdominal muscle constriction in compared to conventional medicine ibuprofen.

Dr. Nasehi M, the lead author, after taking into account of other co and confounders said, "Combination of fennel extract/vitamin E is effective on decreasing the intensity of pain of primary dysmenorrhea, and it is advised to those who cannot use chemical drugs".

In a separate study to investigate the effect of fennel used alone on primary dysmenorrhea symptoms and amenorrheal duration, 80 female students satisfied the criteria and guideline were randomly divided into two groups of intervention (n = 40) and control (n = 40).

The intervention group was given one soft capsule Fennel (30 mg) every 4 hours, 3 days before menstruation till the 5th day and continued for 3 months. The control group received no medication.

According to the result of the experiments, fennel treated group exerted significant decrease of the mean of nausea intensity and weakness from 1.93, and 2.88 after 3 months, in compared to control group from 2.37, 6.65 in control group.

Furthermore, in compared to the control group, the fennel group reduced the duration of the menstrual period after two and three months of use.

Moreover, Fennel treated group demonstrated a strong improvement of quality and feelings of well-being after 1 and 3 months.

Taken together, fennel may be considered as functional food for treatment of Primary Dysmenorrhea without inducing adverse effects.

Scientists Successfully Found the Vitamins That Suppress Over Growth of Candida, Cited by MEDLINE

Candida albicans are members of a large group of microorganism whose cells contain complex structures enclosed within the membranes, including yeast(2)(3), fungi(4)(5)(6), and mold(6) that live among the gut flora in the human mouth and gastrointestinal tract.

Non-albicans Candida (NAC) species cause 35-65% of all candidaemias in the general patient population(1).

According to joint study, in many cases, biofilm(microorganisms with cells stick to each other on a surface) formation(7) gene mutations(8) and overexpression of genes(9)(10) are often associated with increased candida resistance toward antifungal drugs.

NADPH oxidase (NOX) are enzymes that generate reactive oxygen species by transporting electrons across lipid membranes.to induce cytotoxicity against invading microbes. However, according to the joint study led by Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Candida albicans is capable of a ROS burst, using a member of the NOX enzyme family to produce ROS with an aim to drive fungal morphogenesis in the animal host(a).

Vitamin A, B2, C and E as antioxidants and free radical scavengers may have a potential role in inhibited superoxide anion (ROS) radicals caused by overexpression of candida via NADPH oxidase (NOX) enzymes(b).

.
The Anti Over Growth of Candida Vitamins

1. Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2 required for a wide variety of cellular processes plays a key role in energy metabolism and enhances the digestive system in absorbing nutrients and supports the immune system(230)(231) in fighting against bacteria causes of inflammatory disease, including candida(232).

2. Vitamin C
Vitamin C, a water-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant found in high concentrations in immune cells, is not only important in aiding the digestive system in absorbing nutrients, but also enhances the production of white blood cell(233)(234) of the immune system(235) in protection of the body by binding to the harmful bacteria(236) and ingesting them.

3. Vitamin A
Retinoic acid appears to maintain normal skin health by switching on genes and differentiating keratinocytes (immature skin cells)(237) into mature epidermal cells and helps to detox the liver(238).

The vitamin also enhances the immune system(239)(240) in protecting our body through its antimicrobial functions, including Candida albicans(241).

4. Vitamin E
Vitamin E is fat-soluble compounds included both tocopherols and tocotrienols. It not only is a polyphenol antioxidant (242)(246) in scavenging free radicals and microorganisms, but also promotes the immune system in enhanced functions of B-cells(244)(245), the immune cells(245)(247) in the production of antibodies to destroy infectious agents.

The Phytochemicals That Inhibit Kidney Cancer Cells

Lentils' (plant sources') lectin may be considered as biomarkers for detection of the early stage of varies types of cancer and treatment of renal cancer, some scientists suggested.

Lentil, a type of pulse and tiny legume that can be cooked quickly and rich in protein and fiber is a bushy annual plant of genus Lens to the Fabaceae family, native to the Middle East.

Kidney Cancer is a medical condition characterized by irregular cells growth in the tissue of kidneys.
At the later stage, the cancerous cells may travel a distance way to infect other organs' tissues.
For example, if kidney cancer spread to the lung is called kidney cancer with lung metastases.

At the very early stage of the kidney, cancerous tumors that are localized in the surface of the kidneys.
The most common type of kidney cancer is renal cell cancer.

The kidney is of 3 main detoxified organs with the main function of filtering water and waste from your blood.

The causes of the kidney cancer are unknown, but some researcher suggested that genetic mutation, cigarette smoking, obese, family history,..... and exposed to chemicals, such as asbestos and benzene are all associated to increased risk of kidney cancer.

The cancer is only infected approximately 2% of the general population and screening test is only designated for kidney cancer in people who are at higher risk of the disease.

In the UK, The survival rate of early diagnosis of the early stage of kidney cancer is very high with five-year survival rates for renal cancer of 70-94% for localized tumors

According to statistics reported by Dr. Lewis G, the lead author, " Kidney cancers account for 2-3% of all adult malignancies in the UK. Men are predominantly affected by renal cancer with an average age at diagnosis of 64 years. Renal (or clear) cell carcinoma (RCC) accounts for 90% of kidney cancers"(4) and "RCC should be suspected in the presence of localized symptoms such as flank pain, a loin mass or haematuria; constitutional upset including weight loss, pyrexia and/or night sweats; or with unexplained laboratory tests"(4).

Imaging tests such as computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), are the best to spot cancer in patients who are at high risk and susceptible to kidney cancer.

According to the investigation of plant lectin effect in risk of cancers, by resisting digestion, lectins after intake maintained full biological activity in binding to the cancer cell remembrances or. and receptors to induce cytotoxicity, thus reducing cancer cell proliferation and inhibiting tumor growth.

lectins can also incorporate into cancer cell as an antigen to cause agglutination and/or aggregation in the induction of cytolysis and inhibit expression of polyamines, small organic cations that are essential for cancer cells to grow.

Furthermore, plant lectins altered the production of various interleukins that are essential importance for the function of both innate and adaptive immunity by activated certain protein kinases in regulating signal transduction pathways in control cancer cells process in the induction of tumor progression.

Additionally, lectins can also bind to cancer cell mutated ribosomes, a cell structure that makes protein and inhibits protein synthesis, thus disrupting the critical cellular processes necessary for sustained cancer cell growth and modified the cancer cell phase 1 division and G2/M phase cell cycle arrest.

Interestingly, injection of lectins also inhibited telomerase expression in cancer cell activity in maintaining tumor progression and angiogenesis in the stimulated production of the new blood vessel to provide nutrients and oxygen to cancer cells proliferation and tumor expansion.

In clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), Galectin-9 (Gal-9), an animal lectin injection exerted a significant effect in inhibited cancer cell proliferation through binding to β-galactoside which is important to provide energy to tumor survival.

Further investigation of the expression of Gal-9 in a total of in 196 patients with ccRCC who underwent nephrectomy, with 48/196 patients died and 61/196 patients suffered recurrence to assess the prognostic value of Gal-9, suggested that Gal-9 expression not only associates positively with tumor size but also induces a direct impact in the relative survival ratio, used to predict overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) of patients.

Indeed, high levels of Gal-9 was found to associate correlated to poor survival and early recurrence and the expression of lectin also can be considered as a biomarker in diagnosed clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) in early stage and lower of grade of tumor, node, and metastasis in patients who are at higher risk of the kidney cancer developing.

The finding evidence suggested that lectins from all sources may be considered as therapeutic substances and biomarkers for treatment and monitoring the progression of kidney cancer.

The Anti Migraine Diet That Works

A migraine is one most common headaches characterized by chronic neurological disorder of moderate to severe headaches, and nausea that usually develops gradually over 5–20 minutes and lasts for less than 60 minutes.

The condition affects over 15% population in the US, as a result of the change in the brain and its surrounding blood vessels.

Some researchers suggested that dietary and gastrointestinal issues have a significant impact in the clinical expression of a migraine, including gut dysfunction during and between attacks, food triggers, increase in a migraine with obesity, comorbid GI and systemic inflammation influenced by diet, and specific food allergies such as dairy and gluten(1).

And, caregivers and practitioners not only need to encourage migraineurs to seek consistency in their lifestyle behaviors, and environmental exposures, as a way of avoiding sudden changes that may precipitate attacks(1) but also must remind them to avoid suspected foods that trigger, consistently(1).

Believe it or not, according to statistic and research, migraine headaches have caused a substantial individual impact on work productivity and increased a significant societal burden to direct medical costs, lost work time(2).

And in more severe persistent migraine, the lost work time costs greatly exceed medical care costs(2).

Most common symptoms during migraine attacks include pain on one side or both sides of the head and pain that feels throbbing or pulsing.

Some patients during attacks also experience symptoms of light, sounds, smells and touch sensitivity.

In some cases, the attack also induces symptoms of nausea and vomiting. blurred vision..... and lightheadedness.

Diet for a Migraine headache
Certain diet may trigger the attack of a migraine due to an allergic reaction in certain people, but the below-suggested foods may be helpful to people who experience a migraine with no allergic effects.
1. Water
Water, an essential for the body’s proper functioning, and dehydration may trigger the migraine attack.

In a study of 50 migraineurs were asked if insufficient fluid intake could provoke their migraine attacks conducted by The City of London Migraine Clinic, researchers found that twenty replied "yes," 7 were doubtfully positive, and 23 said "no."

In addition of 14 of 45 migraineurs at a meeting of the British Migraine Association (UK) also recognized fluid deprivation as one of their migraine triggers. (E.C.1).

Therefore, adding fluid deprivation to migraine patient may reduce the numbers of migraine attacks.

2. Fish oil
Omega-3 PUFA, from fish oil-eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) process anti-inflammatory properties of which are useful in the management of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, and migraine headaches. (E.C.2)

3. Broccoli

Broccoli is a very good source of magnesium and a good source of calcium.

Magnesium plays an essential in many intracellular processes and in migraine pathogenesis. Low levels of magnesium may promote cortical spreading depression, hyper-aggregation of platelets, affect serotonin receptor function, and influence synthesis and release of a variety of neurotransmitters of which can trigger a migraine headache(B.A.8)

4. Sardines
Sardines contain a measurable amount of Omega 3 fatty acid, calcium, and CoQ10 with function in reduced frequency of a migraine headache (E.B.3)(E.B.2)

5. Spinach
Spinach is an excellent source of both calcium, magnesium, vitamin B2 (riboflavin).

Riboflavin therapy supplemented may be appropriate alternatives in patients with migraine disorder as it significant decreases in headache frequency, intensity, duration and medication intake (E.C.7)

6. Mustard Greens
The World's Healthiest Foods recommends mustard greens as an excellent source of calcium and a very good source of magnesium which is important in preventing and treating migraine headache (See E.B.1 and 2)

7. Fish
Beside rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, all fish contain more or less DL-phenylalanine, an essential amino acid of which is important for our body converts phenylalanine to tyrosine, another amino acid then to epinephrine and norepinephrine, which are important brain chemicals called neurotransmitters.

Some researchers suggest that DL-phenylalanine(DLPA) appears to potentiate pain relief and ease depression in patients receiving opiates for chronic non-malignant pain(E.C.9).

The Magic Bean That Processes Anti Chronic Diseases' Activities

A recent study suggested a regular intake of kidney bean may have a potential effect in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.

Chronic diseases are medical conditions that last more than 3 months or more and can not be cured.

According to WHO in the article of "Noncommunicable diseases" suggested, "The four main types of noncommunicable diseases are cardiovascular diseases (like heart attacks and stroke), cancers, chronic respiratory diseases (such as chronic obstructed pulmonary disease and asthma) and diabetes"(4).

Some chronic conditions also are correlated with other diseases, such as chronic conditions of high blood cholesterol and pressure are associated to increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.

According to the Center for diseases control and prevention statistic, approximately, over 117 million people worldwide had one or more chronic health conditions. And 1 in 4 adults had two or more chronic health conditions(5).

The chronic diseases are the 7th most common causes of death in 2014(5).

Although most common causes of the chronic condition are either debatable or depending to types of condition. However, some researchers suggested that physical activity, poor nutrition, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol drinking are the most common risk factors.

Chronic diseases today have become a burden of the health care system, according to CDC. In US, the conditions cost over 68% of annual health care expenditures of $2.7 trillion(5).

Depending on types of chronic condition, patients may experience some correlated symptoms
* In Patients with cardiovascular diseases, the symptoms include chest pain, chest tightness, chest pressure and chest discomfort (angina),....and shortness of breath.

* Depending to types of cancer, symptoms may including blood in the urine, hoarseness, persistent lumps or swollen glands. ... and indigestion or difficulty swallowing.

* Patients with chronic respiratory diseases may experience shortness of breath, especially during physical activities, wheezing,... and chest tightness.

* Patients with diabetes may include symptoms of unusual thirst, frequent urination, weight change,........ and extreme fatigue or lack of energy.

Kidney bean is very popular because of its kidney shape, strong flavor, and color of reddish brown in nature. The bean often is an excellent dietary selection with no cholesterol, but a good source of protein and minerals.

According to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, consumption of kidney bean regularly attenuated the increased glycaemic stress (hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia) including diabetes, CVD and cancer.

Dr. Hutchins AM, the lead author said, " (The efficacy of kidney in reduced risk of chronic illness may be attributed to the) glycaemic response and the impact that relationship may have on the risk of developing diabetes, CVD and cancer".

In the study to compared two different illumination conditions during germination (12 h light/12 h dark vs 24 h dark) in lentils (Lensculinaris L.) and kidney beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), melatonin content exerted a significantly antioxidant activity in protection against free radicals as well as showing the use of food as preventive strategies in combating chronic diseases through the diet.

Furthermore, the investigation of phenolic-rich extracts obtained from two kinds of common beans, white kidney beans (WKB) and round purple beans (RPB), extracts Phenolic acids and phenolic compounds expressed strong antioxidants and anti-inflammatory activities in reduced the incidence of several chronic diseases that share an inflammatory component.

Dr. García-Lafuente A, the lead researcher in the study said, "common bean extracts may be used as a source of anti-inflammatory agents as well as a dietary complement for health promotion".

Taking together, intake kidney beans regularly may reduce risk and progression of chronic illness through the immunomodulatory effects involved increased antioxidant and ameliorated inflammatory activities.
