Furthermore, the extract also exhibited the direct anticancer activity on cancer cells by cell-cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase through induction of cell-cycle inhibitory protein p27 involved cell proliferation and decreased expression of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) in cell controlling, probably through enhancing immunomodulatory property.
Taking together, there is no doubt that Andrographis processes a pharmaceutical value in reduced risk and controlling skin cancer, but the intake of large quantities can only be prescribed by an herbalist.
