The smoothie for reduced risk and treatment of  Larynx (Voice Box) Cancer/Laryngeal Cancer
Yield: 2 serving (about 8 ounce each)
3/4 cup grape
3/4 cup tomato
1 cup green tea drink (Make from 4 grams(2 tea bags) of green tea, a slice of ginger and a cup of hot water lipped for 5 minutes, and set aside for cooling to room temperature)

3. Serve immediately

Back by well known institution, according to the recent studies, green tea(1), may be next potential therapeutic target for producing a curable medication for reduced risk and treatment of larynx (voice box) cancer/laryngeal cancer
Green tea has been a precious drink in traditional Chinese culture and used exceptional in socialization for more than 4000 thousand years. Due to its commercial values and health effects, green tea now has been cultivated all over the world in suitable climate.

Larynx cancer is also known as cancer of the larynx or laryngeal carcinoma, developed in any part of the larynx. Most larynx cancers are squamous cell carcinomas as a result of uncontrolled multiplication of transformed malignant cells in the laryngeal epithelium originated in the glottis.

According to The Food Technology and Biotechnology, flavonoid constituents of gree tea epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and epicatechin gallate (ECG) on human laryngeal carcinoma cell line (HEp2) through exhibition of scavenge free radicals, and induce pro-oxidative reactions in the cell(1).
The portion of phytochemical Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), inhibited the progression of aryngealsquamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) through induced apoptosis via inhibiting the telomerase activity in stopping the divide indefinitely of cells incancer forming(2) as well as induced apoptosis through cell cycle arrest(3).
Flavonoids found abundantly in grape may also exert the potential effect in preventing and treating Laryngeal Cancer. Dr. Garavello W and the research team at the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri suggested(4).

Resveratrol, another phytochemical found in grape also strongly depress cell growth and inhibit cell proliferation in human Hep-2 cell in a time- and dose-dependent manner(5).
Dr. Li T and colleagues at the Medical School of Xi'an Jiaotong University said, "resveratrol could strengthen anti-tumor immunoresponse, accommodating lymphocyte to secrete cytokine, through which it exerted the efficiency of anti-laryngocarcinoma"(6) and "improved function of T, B lymphocytes, killing activity of NK cells, release of antibodies, and the total complement activity in serum"(7).

Tomato is a red, edible fruit, genus Solanum, belongings to family Solanaceae, native to South America. Because of its health benefits, tomato is grown world wide for commercial purpose
and often in green house. As a diet rich in carotenoids has shown to protect against head and neck cancer(10).
Tomato major chemical constituents, retinol, alpha-tocopherol, and carotenoids
offer protection from oxidative damage and potentiate the immune system against the forming of
cancer of the larynx(8).
According to the Yale University School of Medicine, plasma lycopene was significantly associated (inversely) with total mortality in the full study population with oral, pharynx or larynx cancers(9).

The identification of combined ingredients of green tea(1), grape(4) and tomato(7) may act as a cornerstone for induction of further investigation of the effectiveness of natural smoothie in reduced risk and treatment of laryngeal Cancer
People who are at increased risk of laryngeal Cancer due to family history, gene mutation, obesity.....should drink at least one serving daily and people with laryngeal Cancer should drink no more than 4 serving a day, depending to digestive toleration.
Change of life style and diet pattern are also recommended.
