                    Dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) is defined as a condition of severe uterine pain during menstruation. Some women may experience periodic pains during or prior to, or after menstrual periods in the lower abdomen as resulting of over production of certain hormones in the prostaglandins family. Mu gua is also known as cydonia oblongata, it improves the function of the meridian liver-Spleen, thereby smoothing the qi flow to spleen and liver and liver function in blood formation, resulting in reducing the dis-harmonization of stomach and spleen in food absorption, leading to dampness accumulation and blood stagnation causes of damp wind.

5. Fang Ji
Fang ji is also known as stephania root, it has been used in tradition in treating meridian bladder-spleen-kidney blockage. By smoothing the qi flow of spleen and kidney and increasing the bladder in assisting secretion of urine, the herb decreases the risk of dampness accumulation of fluids in the lower part of the body.
